Adult Student Technical College Scholarship Program
Purpose
This unique scholarship program has been established to support the efforts of
adults who are entering or returning to school after a number of years in the work
force. It recognizes the special effort and challenges facing adult students, many
of whom have families to support while earning a technical college degree. The Adult
Student Technical College Scholarship is sponsored by Wisconsin Public Service Foundation Inc.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be 25 years old on or before November 1, 2007.
- Be accepted into a two-year associate degree program at one of the following
Wisconsin technical colleges:
- Fox Valley Technical College
- Lakeshore Technical College
- Northcentral Technical College
- Nicolet Technical College
- Mid-State Technical College
- Northeast Wisconsin Technical College
- Be a student in good standing during the 2007-2008 academic year.
Awards
A number of $200 and $400 non-renewable scholarships will be awarded to part-time
and full-time students each year. Scholarship recipients will receive the award as a
tuition credit, which will be applied to the second semester of the 2007-2008 academic
year. Awards will be made based on a combination of merit and financial need.
How to Apply
Simply complete the application form and send it
to the NWTC Foundation office.
