Wisconsin Technical College Grant Program
Purpose
This grant program provides graduating high school seniors with
financial assistance to continue their education through enrollment in
certain Wisconsin Technical Colleges. Recipients may elect any one-year
technical diploma or two-year associate degree program.
Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Be the son/daughter of a customer with a primary residence in Wisconsin
Public Service Corporation or Upper Peninsula Power Company territory, or the
son/daughter of a Wisconsin Public Service or UPPCO employee.
- Be a high school senior graduating in the current academic year.
- Have applied to attend one of the schools listed below:
- Fox Valley Technical College
- Lakeshore Technical College
- Northcentral Technical College
- Nicolet Technical College
- Mid-State Technical College
- Northeast Wisconsin Technial College
- Plan to enroll as a full-time student.
Awards
Grants are awarded for merit on a competitive basis. Each grant
is a one-year, non-renewable award worth $400.
Selection
Staff members of the participating technical colleges will select the
recipients.

Deadline
Applications must be received by February 1, 2008.
Notification
Award recipients will be notified of their selection in April of 2008.
Grants will be sent directly to the award winner's technical
college, and applied directly to school costs associated with the
beginning of the 2008 fall term.
