Service Installation Requirements for My Home
Before service can be installed, the following conditions need to be met:
- A site sketch or survey map must
be sent to Upper Peninsula Power Company.
- The construction site and building foundation must be back-filled
to within 4" of final grade.
- The service route is to be cleared 10' wide of brush, etc.
- The electric meter base must be installed.
- An Electrical Inspection Report needs to be received from the
electrician or electrical inspector.
- Easements need to be signed and on file with Upper Peninsula Power Company.
- In Michigan, all service construction charges equal to or greater than $25.00
are to be paid in advance.
