Thanksgiving Storm Warming Shelter Information

UPPCO is aware of the following warming shelters and contacts during the Thanksgiving storm:
- Baraga County:
- Baraga Village Fire Hall: 10:30pm (Nov. 26) – 9:00am (Nov. 27) pets welcome
- Houghton County:
- Bootjack Fire Hall: 8:00pm – midnight (November 26)
- Chassell Fire Hall: 8:00pm – midnight (November 26)
- Keweenaw County:
- Contact the Keweenaw County Sheriff’s Office for non-electric emergencies during the overnight hours
While this is not an exhaustive list, it will be updated as we become aware of more locations.
