Upper Peninsula Power Company (UPPCO) is holding a series of Stakeholder Forums to receive public input leading to the development of its Integrated Resource Plan (IRP). UPPCO’s plan will be filed with the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) in 2018.
An IRP is a process that is used by a utility to evaluate how it will best serve its customers’ future energy needs. The process is transparent and utilizes predictive modeling to evaluate several resource options that meet the future energy needs of the customers. Examples of the questions that will be answered through the IRP include:
Stakeholder Forums will be held at four locations throughout UPPCO’s service territory between 3:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time on the following dates:
Customers and interested Stakeholders will have an opportunity to meet with the UPPCO staff who are involved in our IRP process, as well as representatives from the company’s Regulatory, Generation, Energy Waste Reduction (EWR) and Customer Service departments.
